FL18 - Dual Beam ?? Help!

Hi guys,

I've looked through all the the posts and I'm still uncertain which ice ducer to buy. Will be used mainly for ice fishing walleye -usually fish Mille Lacs 20'- 25' and Red Lake crappies and possibly LOTW. I thought I had decided on the 9/19 dual beam ---- but the guy I talked to at Thorne Bros said that was only needed for fishing walleyes on the ledge and deep water for lake trout. I told him we fished for walleye and he still said the 12 degree was what I needed. I'll probably be buying one on Wednesday and any help will be appreciated.
