The tournament is on July 22 and 23. You have to be a CWA member which is $25. The entry fee is $100 per team.

I will be camping and fishing Pueblo July 18 - 20 so should have them patterned for the tournament.

Each day is it's own payout. If they get 100 teams, each days winner takes home $1000.

I would like to personally vouge for Eric's being a good fishing partner.

He has almost completed his work release program and I think the last rehab session may of done the trick. I dought there is any chance his probation officer will find out about him leaving his county limits to fish. I also know he is attending anger management therapy and just joined AA. Just don't crack on his home town and keep the booze put away.

Actually they have me on an ankle monitor and I just have to call in every evening, so I can leave the county.

I am currently in NA not AA. I like smoking crack alot more than drinking, but am not a stranger to any thing that will give me a buzz.

I just should have never beat up that waterskier for getting within 100 yards of me and I wouldn't be in this mess.

LOL

Lemme do some ciphering here -- $100 entry fee from 100 teams, that makes $10,000. 3 daily winners each glom on to $1,000 -- that leaves $7,000 ---- for what?

They pay up to ten places each day. No profit is gained from the tournament. All tournament workers are volunteers. Some of the money may go to the Dinner on Saturday night.

CWA pays out 80% of the money. The 20% kept is used to pay for the dinner on Saturday night, which is free to anglers and there families. The rest is used by the club to promote walleye fishing in Colorado. To view the payouts, ot's on Walleye Central at #####://www.walleyecentral.com/cwa.htm

Are you still looking?
I've been fishing walleye for 4 years, have no tournament experience.

I do have a great boat.
20' 225horse, 9.9 4 stroke, 65# electric, dual live wells, 350a on the console, x85 on the bow.

I haven't fished at Pueblo, I usually fish in Wyoming and a lot on the Missouri. From S.D.

Eric,

I thought real hard on this one as I would would have liked to have fished with you, but I just can't pull a keeper out of this lake. I thought it was me, yet everyone that fishes the lake has been having the same problem. To make matters worse I went to Trinidad yesterday expecting all small fish and lost one that would have been about 5 lbs and landed one that went 3.So it's not that I am totaly lacking talent. Eric, if they go to a slot limit next year keep me in mind. Thanks

Hey Art, I know you live in Pueblo, do you ever night fish there? I have always wanted to night fish there but I live to far away. Instead I go out to Cherry creek in the spring and fall to night fish and have had almost zero luck. It's frustrating because the Creek is full of big eye's. I have a feeling there are alot of big fish in Pueblo also, but they live almost totally nocturnal live's.

Neal, I only tried going out once at night this summer and the catfish love my husky jerks at the dam. I was out his past spring, but man it gets cold out there and being that I not use to the lake, twice I was out after dark and had a fun time trying to find my way back in. One thing I did learn is that fall is the time for lunkers at the dam as a few diehards caught eyes up to 11 lbs in October. I can't wait...

All the fish I have ever caught at night have been in 4 feet of water or less. Glendo, Cherry Creek, and Bonny. Leave the boat at home and fish the rocks in October. I really feel on our small waters, where we know where the fish are going to be every season, sometimes a boat is more of a hinderence than an advantage at night. Save your prop and your time and just pick a high percentage spot on shore and start casting.
