View Full Version : Peta's Unhappy Meal
Peta's antics are always annoying but this particular venture should not be allowed. Now they plan on distributing Unhappy Meals to little
kids in playgrounds and outside MacDonalds. These
graphic displays of animals lives before they become Happy Meals are adult concerns, not little
childrens. When they start messing with the little people's minds, they really are stepping over the line... For those of you who want to take a look, check out meatstinks.com. It's always best to keep an eye on the enemy :-) And we thought it was scary when they paraded around as fish....

Isn't it a bit ironic that Peta was so offended by the parody website (People Eating Tasty Animals) that they sued, but yet they support a sick parody against McD's. I would like to see McD's try to sue PETA as well as the parents whose children have been "emotionally scarred" by these antics. Even though I don't agree with them, I support their right to speak out, but it really crosses the line when they target children.
I just took a look at that site(meatstinks.com). I would say that this boarders on child indangerment and/or child abuse. I hope someone with the resourses to push these charges does so.
What is wrong with these people anyway? If they manage to get this going and harm one child mentaly it will not give them a good apperance in my opinion.
Keep your rod bent!!

Okay, so the ladies are cute, but how moral is the whole campaign? If they are not harrasing little children, they are parading women around dressed, or undressed, in lettuce leaves. Great message of what a woman is good for. Rather sexist don't you think? I for one think women should be offended by this depection of women.
But then,Peta is the same bunch of as**oles that have the drink beer not milk and lets make the Packers change their name promotions.
Stupid, useless wastes of breathable air.

we have an animal rights advocate in our church...do not know if she is a bona fida peta member but would do well in their organization.. well, i am a veterinarian and was at their home and noticed several baby raccoons in their home... i was asked what i thought about them as pets etc...i told her they often harbor a very dangerous parasite which can migrate around in the body...esp if it gets to the brain....and cause death...no treatment...several kids in indiana have already died with this ...one adult has died with it...baylisascaris migrations.. i told her they are not safe to have around children ...she shrugged and said "well, somebody has to take care of them...they are orphaned" what in effect she said was that they are as important as her kids...that is how they think... try to reason with that...i can't...steve

This is gone way too far. Do these people realize how rediculous they look??!! Targeting children on the playground? I sure hope if this is true they get their a$$es sued by McD's.

PETA's recent string of idiotic publicity gimmicks has caused many people who were previously "on the fence" to side with the sportsman. Use this to your/our advantage. Print the PETA page, and don't hesitate to show it to other people. Anyone with any degree of common sense will realize what this fanatical group is all about.

Vetspet,
Did you happen to mention that keeping non-domesticated wild animals is against the law. When I was growing up my neighbors, a police officer and his also came across an orphaned raccoon. Kept him in a large outdoors cage for years. Very cool pet and exceptionally smart (it would constantly figure out how to open the cage latches until they used a padlock)...but still a wild animal. Eventually word got out and the animal control boys came and got it and set it free somewhere. Don't know what the laws are where you live, just thought I would mention it.

All the WalleyeCentral readers must have overloaded their Web site. I'm just trying to figure out which of the "Broccoli Boys" is Hans!
Any web developers out there that want to set up a parody of PETA's already rediculous site? I'm not sure it would be any stranger, but should make them good and mad. :) I don't think there'd be any lack of creative input :)

Ness,
Yea, that's pretty digusting, I'm no Micky D's fan (can't take the grease), but you're so right about targeting children. Mcdonalds should sue, but wouldn't that play right into PETA's hand by giving them a larger stage to rant from?

Typical move by a radical bunch of narrow minded goof balls. Although I agree with everyone that this latest campain is way out of line, I think a tasteful education to youngsters at some stage in their life about where their meat comes from would probably do a lot of good. Then it wouldn't be a surprise to them when a PETA idiot tries to shock them into not eating meat. Way too many adults in this country don't have a clue where ANY of their food comes from let alone their meat, leather shoes, baseball gloves, (biggest hippocrite I've seen is PETA supporter Tony LaRussa...baseballs are covered with leather and hot dogs areas much a part of baseball as the bat) etc. It is called the "grocery store culture". Educating those people that are on the bubble with fact is the easiest way to defeat any legislative or referendum action the PETA clowns initiate.

If i had a child and one of those jerks solicited them with pictures of animals with their throats slit, I'd connect my right fist with their left jaw bone. That is child molestation and is no different than HANDING OUT PORNAGRAPHY. No jury in the world would convict me of assault and I would be on CNN in 14 microseconds.

Gad Zooks! What will they come up with next? If humans are not part of "nature" what are they? Are the animals of the woods/meadows/mountains/lakes that far removed from humans? Do we not take part in the "food chain"?
Humans are part of nature, no matter what PETA or any other "animal rights" group may want to think. We change our environment to fit our needs but so do many animals, not always to the benefit of other animals. One such animal would be the beaver. Damming up a stream can cause great damage to the environment, both upstream and down. PETA is just wanting to take the argument to the stage that helps them, not to it's logical conclusion. If it did go that far one would see just how stupid the argument really was.

Lets all wake up and smell the coffee. I mean heck man. They already threw the "smokers" out back with the garbage. You cannot drink a entire can of beer and drive home from the bar. But you can sit there and drink till your flat broke. Although our parents and there parents and theres before them had a binge on almost nightly.? No more water sking with booze flowing freely. If gore gets the office you might have to go through so much red tape to use or purchase a gun that it will no longer be any fun. Nudity is another subject that personally "I believe you came in to the world from heaven naked. You were created that way. So why be ashamed of it and cover it up?. Unless temps require it. "I beleive" The "self proclaimed" goody two shoes of the world are taking away our rights that our beloved ancestors died for at a miraculous rate!. All to save lives. Like we don't have enough of them. Or save your soul.? "I believe" Only god himself can judge the contents of a persons heart. " I believe" if we did not eat the animals it would still only prolong their death not prevent it. In the future "I believe" you will not be able to sin and live to tell about it. But you will be able to cypher ways to create products and improve standards of living meaning: making it "easier" for some one to live. Of course the the natural world paying the price for our lazyness. Like that is not a sin?. I think I understand why peta is upset. They care for the natural world. But to care for it and do some good lets go all the way. Just eating lettuce will not save this planet from destruction with a population that is booming out of control there is not going to be any place for all these creatures that they are trying so hard to save to live. It is obvious "to me" that we have been decieved by the sly one, the betrayer of god and heaven, That was cast out of heaven to the earth and is here to deceive us so we may not be worthy to return to the kingdom of heaven. "I say natural all the way. Which at this point is impossible So you might as well say: "It's all good baby" Lets mow it over and get on with the fullfillment of the scriptures as in : The last days, which "I believe" are here now, The return of the son of god, The resurection of all the spirits that have passed before us and that: Glorious judgement day! Amen! As far as fishing subjects go with this post I agree with hans. There is nothing more worth while doing than messing around in boats. I wonder if the two annoited apostles that jesus came across and said: Cast your nets to the right side of the boat were doing just that!. Messing about in a boat!. See ya on the water ! <*}}}}>< ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "COMA"

Isn't it amazing what a looney tune group can do when they are supported by millions of our tax dollars? These are the types of absurd, left wing, politically correct, limp wristed, pinko communist, special interest groups that our Democratic politicians feel compelled to pander to. If they did not have all of our tax dollars supporting their elite little heirarchy, they might have to go out and get real jobs, and work for a living like all of us that pay the freight for all of this nonsense! Sorry for my rant, but it would be nice if they would put their efforts into something useful, like preventing the ultimate child abuse - - the abortion murders of millions of American babies every year. Oops! that would not be politically correct now would it?

I didn't check out the website, but I can just imagine. The only problem with that is if you check out their sites, it just encourages them. They're nothing but a bunch of idiots that have nothing better to do with their lives than make the normal people miserable. I wish they'd just get a life and learn how to fish. Then everything would be okay. (LOL)

I just checked the lettuceladies site and I'll be darned if there isn't a guy in one of the pictures wearing a LEATHER belt and LEATHER shoes.I guess you can wear it but you can't eat it. Now that is STUPID!!

Maybe I'm just stupid, but I can't seem to figure out what the heck it is you two are arguing about. Is it religion? or maybe politics? You guys are sposed to be on the same side! Quit bickering and focus on what's important in this thread, stopping PETA. This lack of unity among sportsman is what has allowed PETA to become as powerful as they are. We as sportsmen outnumber them 10 to 1, we should be able to beat these losers if we stick together on this one.
Sorry for the sermon, I know I'm doing that alot lately.

If Egore becomes president he will try to take your gun away, remove your motor from your boat, trade in your truck for an electric golf cart, support homosexual marriages, and support PETA wackos! To me, this is all the same topic. Do you think PETA members are voting for Bush?

Okay, it should read, "Brilliant Thought" as the header of my last post. I guess it was all the beer from fishing that made me woozy. Just remember, above all else, alchohol and water don't mix.
I agree that Al gore is probably not the best thing that could happen to us, but I think that you'll find that both the democrats and repulbicans are activists in one way or another. Fact is, America is bored, and politics is getting less conservative all the time to reflect the boredom. Al Gore's enthusiasm for everything stupid is not really much different than Bush's enthusiasm for everything that makes him rich.
I guess what I'm trying to say, is that no matter who wins this year, we're all going to lose. I guess it's just a matter of choosing the lesser of 2 evils, just like everyone else in the country will be doing. Pick the candidate that won't ban the things you love. That's why we need to decide what's important here, becuse it's going to become a show of hands between the outdoorsmen and women, and the animal rights/gun control fruitcakes. I don't like Bush any more than I like Gore, but at least he won't take away things that I have considered rights since I can remember.
I'm not sure this even makes much sense, but that's the way I see it. depressing huh? :)
