there have been a few posts lately that really
made me angry....i would stew for days about
this idiot and that knucklehead and about how
none of the guys (and gals) that used to post here
regularly dont post at all anymore.

then i looked at the number of new subjects that
are posted EVERY DAY here at walleye central..
its just incredible..

i have a few other walleye sites i check out and
boy you can hear the wind whistling down the canyon at all of em. if you dont check walleye
central every day you need to go back several
pages just to check all the new stuff.

hats off to scott from a long time w/c viewer-
poster. this is an amazing place, it is growing
very quickly. sure, some of your friends dissappear and new ones replace them (just like
in real life).

i sigh every time i see the posts "tiller vs console"..."mono vs superline"..."new ontario fishin regs"..because heck, we settled all those wars 2 years ago.

there are new people here all the time who missed
the wisdom the first ten or twenty times around.

everyone...(even you knuckleheads and idiots)
enjoy this wonderful source of information, treat
it well, learn what you will, think about what you
are going say in your posts, learn all you can and
HANG ON because this site is really moving fast.

have fun...and quit tickin me off

I feel like I should apologize for tickin you off, but I'm not sure that I ever did????????? Sorry, but it's not a perfect world so I guess we can't have a perfect site... But thanks to Scott and Zach, it comes very close. :-)

I was thinking sort of along those same lines the other day. Seems like a lot of people dissappeared after Christmas. One of the names missing was yours. Seemed like since that LOTW war that broke out I haven't seen many posts from you. Maybe I just missed some but I was kinda hoping that once spring arrived and the open water season got into full swing that the usual band of responders would return and your knowledge would spill forth once again. Let's hope you don't need a chill pill but maybe just some warm weather. Fish On Dude!!!

Amen to all! This site is a lot of fun for the very reasons you stated Curt! It is up to us (Or you, the "Old Guard") to pass on the information to the "Newbies" to the board. The old knowledge you have retained is the new info that a lot of new folks to the board are looking for. Good to see you back! Be patient, count to three, and set the hook!

I just came over here this a.m. to check my post on the 40 inch musky size limit and happened to look at this thread. Just so you guys know, you are all very lucky. Over on the Musky Hunter Magazine magazine board they had to go through 2 format changes in order to put a stop to the bashing. In order to post anything on that board you have to log-in and include an e-mail address. Now we average about 2-3 new threads per day. I put my post about the 40 inch size limit here yesterday about 9:30 a.m. central and it is already down to the 2nd page. I think you guys are doing a lot better job than us musky guys. Maybe we need to take a lesson from you. God bles.

I am so filled with remorse. How can I ever compensate for perhaps having been one of the newer comers who may have caused Curt's pique. I just don't know how to live with myself the rest of the day (month, year). Alas, alas.

Products change so rapidly and so many new people with different experiences and opinions have now joined the board that it really isn't "the same old post" even if the same topic was posted a few weeks earlier.

HI,
As a new comer ( back in mid 99 ) to the board looking to learn as much as possible about walleye fishing I must say this is a fantastic place. I have never met fisherman/woman who are willing to share their thoughts and secrets on eyes. Because of this site and the people on it, they have opened my eyes to a totally new way of fishing. I enjoyed bass fishing very much and started to get tired of doing the same thing every weekend. I booked a guided walleye trip 2 years ago and loved it, I am hooked. It was a night time trolling trip in May and I caught my biggest eye ever, 8.3 #. Scince then I drove to Erie and went out of Port Clinton on a party boat for 3 days/ 2 trips per day, caught 1 6# fish, slepted in my truck for 2 nights and I learned one thing, These fish are smart! And I want to learn how to catch them! Scince I have been here I have purchased downriggers, planner boards, line counter reels, spoons, trolling rods, planner board rods, dispey rods, jet divers, stickbaits by the hundreds, including reef runners in all sizes and colors, snap weights, pecision trolling book, walleye wisdom book, and more. Now I will learn to use them. If I catch 1 fish trolling on Erie this year it will be worth the expense for me because I then have learned something. People like ETT, GILLIGAN, SLUGGO, DEN, JULS, CAPT. DENNY, and others have taken the time to explain things I did not understand. Thankyou to all who ever helped me! When I catch my first eye trolling Erie you all will be part of that experience. I come to this site everyday/ many times a day to see what people have to say about what they love to do, FISH!!!!!! At first I did not know these people on the site fished in tournaments or were charter Capts. or walleyed fished for most of their lives, then I started to realize how much info I was getting and the knowledge these people had and I feel lucky to know all of you. Sorry for the long reply but I wanted to say something for a change, instead of always asking questions. Scott and Zack keep up the good work. I will be here for years to come and hope the rest of you will too. THANKYOU once again to all! Jersey John

Jeez Curt, Sounds like you had a fight with your wife ( or someone elses). Go buy her a new car and a dozen roses and everything will be OK.
