I just got one of these cheap and can't tell from the online manual if the unit has a lithium backup battery to save all your waypoints in case the batteries go dead. Anyone know offhand? The thing works great otherwise. Actually like certain things about it better than my Garmin 12, like it has a huge screen by comparison. Sorry for the long post. Have a safe and happy 4th of July. I have the AccuMap and it does. I'm pretty sure the Nav does too.

I have had one since they first came out. Fine unit -- just use remote power since they are a bit of a battery hog.

I did have a garmin 12 and got rid of it since I couldn't put up with the smaller screen.

Take care and enjoy.

Since Lowrance no longer has the software on their home page for upload - downloads -- if you want the software just e-mail me a request and I will see what I can do.

The software works fine and is very quick.

Not a lot of edit functions but it is adequate.

Take care
