Tournament Checklist
Things appear to be a little slow on WC except for talk of new tournaments. I thought it would be fun if we collectively put together a tournament check-off list that can be used when packing for tournaments or weeklong trips. Those who have Word can request a nice formatted version of our list when we’re done at dskurulsky@yahoo.com
I’ll start it off:

Here in South Dakota it's nice to have a shovel March thru May, then breakout the bug spray......

No matter how long the list you still find yourself in a store buying something you don't have with, don't have at all or just plain don't have. THE best way is don't unpack the boat or truck and just keep adding.

I can't beleive you forgot Life jackets. About 2 years ago I was fishing a tourney on Erie. My partner was already up there with his boat, so we fished out of his. I usually bring my sospenders, but for got them. All he had for me was an old dirty may west type. Great big orange thing. It would have worked in an emergency, but not the most comfortable thing to wear all day.

I keep alot of those disposable hand warmers for cold weather fishing. they work great.
Waders or hip boots for the quick loading and unloading of the boat.

Hi Dennis,
How about that 'minor league' circuit? Any stops of interest to you? I was thinking about Bago in July, if it is indeed in July. Let me know.
Thanks,
Scaleman
P.S. Do you know of anyone who has John Gillespie`s phone or fax number? I have been trying to get confirmation of his receipt of my 13# walleye sent in over amonth ago for his show.

Jeff,
You might try looking on his web site-www.watersandwoods.com. I'm not sure if there is a phone number but maybe you can find out where to send an e-mail.
Happy Holidays,

Hi John,
I have been down that dead-end web-site. They gave me what was supposed to be his e- mail, another dead end!!!. I spoke with some gal who was attempting to get him my message, that was last Monday. Thanks anyway, Merry Christmas to You and Jane.
Scaleman.
P.S. send me your e-mail

Dennis..after I've managed to get everything into the boat/truck I leave it alone as much as possible. When I come home I make a list of what I take out of the rig, makes a much shorter repacking list for next trip out.

Dennis,I think that you forgot the most important item, your life jacket!!!!
I think the question should be what should one pack in their emergency repair kit.
Spare electrical parts (splice, wire, those little ends,etc..)
Electrical tape
Cordless drill
Stainless screws
Rod tip replacement
Reel lube/grease
Don't forget the advil, for that headache I always seem to have the morning after the rules meeting.
