I wouldn't use either, my experience has not been good with floroclear or carbon, it doesn't spool worth a %$@# and I think it breaks to easy. but P-line mono is excellent stuff. I use the low-vis green for jigging bait and my live bait rig leaders and the hi-vis clear for throwing cranks and plastics. good stuff

Unless the water is extremely clear (and maybe not then) flourocarbon isn't needed for jigging or much other angling. Any "flourocarbon" that is describled as a reel filler line isn't the real thing. Only the expensive ($/ft) leader material is really flourocarbon. I've tried both. The blends are not as tough as the leader material, but are still a source of bad language when spooled on a reel.
It is handy for "bite-proofing" your leader. Real flourocarbon is extremely abrasion resistant. Biting off the tag end of a knot is bad for your teeth.
It is also difficult to knot well. It's kind of like transparent wire. I can't imagine trying to tie the stuff in cold weather.
Do I use it? Yes, anytime I'm likely to hook a pike, or am fishing around obstacles like sharp rock. I've got a few pre-tied leaders that I'll loop/loop knot to the end of my main line, and I also have some bottom bouncer rigs tied with the flouro leader material.
