I am looking for one of the vacuum formed tanks found in most boats and used as a live well. They should be available but I can't find them anywhere. HELP!
I need one that is about 36" long by 10" wide, and about 10" deep.
Anyone know where I can find them on-line?

Martin- Try Cabelas or Bass Pro, both carry that item. Good luck. Bob WC#253.

Bob,

Do you have any idea what they are called? I have searched Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops, but I must not be using the correct naming conventions because the only live wells I can find are those with insulation, pumps, aireation, and filtration systems for big bucks!

I am only looking for the cheap vacuum formed tubs you find on boats used as a storage area with a deck hatch (the hatch is NOT part of the tub), yet some are plumbed for water fill/drain/aireation and used as live wells for the game fish.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Martin

cabela's marine catalog page 52 dry-stor/livewells from $70 to $90 are those what your looking for? item 01-3518-003(large)-002(middle) and -001 is the small. you'll need to add the aerating kit and the recirculation kit. large is 47x16x15,M 25x16x15, S 25x16x7 you could also e-mail crestliner to find out who makes there livewells.
hope that helps

If you can't find the size you need, maybe one of the plastic storage bins avail at discount stores would work. West Marine or maybe the local hardware may have whatever fittings you need.

Below is a website for polytank they make all kinds of tanks, I boought a rectangle tank from them when I redid my boat and put my own fittings in the tank and bought a lid from Cabela's to fit the top. Worked out good for me??
