I know this is a walleye site but I need help in locating a book called "The Field Gordon Setter, A Black & Tan Bombshell" by Sue and Norm Sorby.

I take delivery of a new gordon puppy on Feb.18 and would like to use the training methods in this book. I bought the puppy from Sprinset Kennels owned by the Sorby's but they don't have any books to sell at this time and the second printing won't be out for some time according to Norm. I have checked Barnes & Noble, Amazon, etc. on the web and they are also out of stock.

If you or someone you know has this book and is willing to sell or loan it to me please e-mail me ASAP at: gboggs@adiis.net.

Thank you,
Good hunting and fishing.

Look up and call American Field Publishing Co. in Chicago -or- get on Google or something and explore.

There are a handful of great bird dog books. If you can appreciate the genuine practitioners try the Earl Crangle book.

Best step as a starter might be the Sherry Ray Ebert and Ferrell Miller videos.

Enjoy our pup.

If the other suggestions don't pan out, you might try:
http://www.amazon.com

I often go to amazon.com when I'm looking for a book but only know the name of the author or title of the book. By using amazon.com search I can find the rest of the information including publisher, edition and the ISBN number assigned to the book. I then hoof it over to the local library. If they don't have it, I request an interlibrary loan. Iowa has great opportunites for reading through the library.
