Pet Containment??/

I know alot of you guys have dogs .Does anyone have any advice on the wireless systems are tahey as good as the buried cable ones I have two lab and newfoundland mixes Have a 12 by 16 kennel but want to let them run a little on their own with out having to worry.i have 3 acres but only want to secure a small portion. Thanks for any input....spamoose

I have an Inotek for my Lab that I put in this spring. He's a big old foofoo and definitely respects the fence. Hasn't figured out it's the collar yet so when we want to take him hunting you really have to coax him across the border. I've seen stray dogs and deer out there and he stays on his own side of things now instead of going out and enjoying a pile of deer guts and passing gas for us. Take plenty of time to do the training part as they say and I'd think you'd be happy with it. One thing, with 3 dogs, while a collar is recharging the fence is INACTIVE which is something to keep in mind.
My son-in-law put a system just like it in for his 3 dogs and they stay home too so we're both pleased with ours. BTW he cut a trench for his with a lawn edger and that worked well for him. Make the fence big enough, they'll HUG the house for awhile after they've been shocked most likely.

I didn't go wireless because they don't really get much of an area with those types. FWIW
