Wanted to know if the "no wake ban" on the Madison Chain has helped fishing success or is their too much food that has washed into the lakes? I know that they were expecting massive algae blooms on the lakes and beaches were shut down for awhile because of the high bacteria counts. Any reports? Thanks, Curious

I have not heard much regarding walleye but the fishin has been good. I have heard reports of a lot of big Gills, Crappie and Perch being caught in all of the lakes. Smallmouth fishing has also been good in Mendota. If you are going for walleye i would hit Waubesa or Kegonsa. Mendota has been slow for me for the last year or so, but your chances of a big fish are much better.
One thing the no wake had probably done is kept the fish ona day bite. mormally by June due the bigger game fish have gone to a night bite.
good luck,
Scott
