I just came back from Gaurdian Eagle Resort. It was, by far, the best remote resort I've ever been to, but it is not cheap. They have their own 3200 foot runway and can fly you out of Flying Cloud airport (South east of Minneapolis) or Chicago and maybe others. I have never been at a resort that was more customer oriented that them.
The food was great, as was the fishing, although not a trophy lake there were lots of fish. The log cabins are as good as any remote camp. The staff was very helpfull and Oh did I mention the food!
I had a great time and would highly recommend Guardian Eagle Fishing Lodge to anyone that wanted the best service, food and great fishing, but it did come at a premium price. Give them a call at 1-800-465-3844.
