GlobalMap 1600 Position updating not working?

My GPS (Lowrance GlobalMap 1600) seems to be acting up on me.

When I troll or drift fish, the trail won't upgrade, unless I turn the unit off/on, or start up the big motor and move along fairly fast. Trolling is at speeds of 1.5MPH or slower.

Makes it difficult to mark a spot while drifting/trolling to get back to it.

Any ideas if I have something misconfigured on the unit? Or do I need to talk with Lowrance?

The antenna is in a good, open area with no obstructions.

There is a setting you need to turn off. I am not sure what it is (at work right now) but it has to do with averaging your current position. I had the same problem and talked to Lowrance. They stated since SA was turned off you really don't need to have this setting on any longer.

Thanks. Think I found it. Position Pinning. I'll turn it off and see what happens.
