I'm going to Green Bay next week. Are the Walleyes biting, and how do we catch them. Please help.

It's not a "Hot" bite right now. We just had the USFA tourney there this past weekend, and out of 66 teams, only 26 teams weighed fish. It was a tough bite for sure.

Trolling crawler harnesses on boards was the ticket. Silver blades were working the best. Troll slow.

With more tournies coming up...I am not at liberty to say much more than that...;-)

Good luck, and may it be better fishing for you, than it was for us!

There are a ton of places to catch Walleye on Green Bay. Larsen's Reef, Monument Shoals and the Fish Creek area just to name a few. I'm learning too, but what I have done with success is pull crawler harnesses on boards with a snap weight at 40 to 60 feet and the board at 100 to 120 feet. A little experimenting with the distances will get you the right combo. With 2 guys in the boat I run 4 boards and 2 rigs on bottom bouncers right off the back of the boat.
It's just one of many ways to catch fish up there so good luck,

Doc

P.S. Hatchet blades work good.
