I'd like to buy a new rigging rod and reel. This would be for three way rigging or for draging heavy bottom bouncers. How about some suggestions?
I would go with a 6-1/2 to 7 ft MH casting rod and a baitcasting reel which has a flipping switch. This is if it is only going to be used for bouncing, 3 ways and maybe trolling. The flipping switch is nice because you can let line out without having to re engage the reel everytime. As far as line I prefer to use 10lbXT Hi Vis but my partner likes to use fireline. Personal pref. However, he does seem to hang up less then I do.
