I have a good friend who has been dealing with some health problems and is a full time guide. Without getting into a lot of detail, he will be paying some big medical bills.

He has 2 Lowrance 350s and he is getting lines through the screens on them. He had sent one back to Lowrance and had it re-worked for a little over a hundred dollars and is having the same problem, but worse. His other unit is also doing the same thing, but not as bad. The unit that was sent back is worse than the one never sent in, can't even read the menu screen any longer.

Any suggestions? Has anyone else had these problems?

He is not in a position to send in the units and be told to buy new ones or even pay to have these fixed again, but he may have to.

Thanks in advance,

In many cases the problem is related to interference. This can be from a radio or any other electrical source. I would suggest that you run a couple of test leads directly to your battery. I have seen this issue on the older units form time to time.

I had the same problem. It found to be the marine radio!
Turn off everything and hook it up to a good 12 volt supply.
If he is still have the same problem now would be the time to get them back to lowrance. Oh What was I thinking you fish all year round!
Good luck

Thanks guys, I'll make sure we try it with a straight supply of 12v juice and see if that is it.
