View Full Version : Question for Pinpoint Owners
Actually 2 questions. First, how fast and for how long can you troll on a charged battery in low winds? Second, how much longer that the distance from the deck to the water should the shaft be?

I know of guys who have went 3 days with heavy use everyday with out a charge, I have went 2 days several times. Pinpoint is easy on batterys because of the rare earth magnets they use in there motor.
I'm not sure about your second question as far as a measurement, If you are fishing out of a 16 foot boat you should use a 56 inch shaft, in a 18-20 I would go with a 60inch shaft.
I hope this helps Good Luck
i have gone 3 days of hard fishing without a charge,

I've never run out of battery power yet.Have run hard for two days.
Motor has to be under water to run. With wind or waves you may have to lower the shaft. Smooth water, you can scim just below the surface.
Your best bet is to experiment and note what is the best for your boat.
However, you are SOL if your shaft is to short .
