Was down at the Fort Washington Show In Philadelphia yesterday and was talking to the factory Rep. from Lowrance and asked him if they found the problem with the X15's and he told me that everyone who sent their units in checked out ok on the sim. but everyone who sent them in never sent in the transducers with then to check also, which is understandible not everyone would think of it or not everyone would like tearing their boat apart either! Well the problem is with the transducers Ken Penrod (Manufacturer's Sales Representative) told me that the cystals were breaking down in the transducers in a certain lot but they don't know all of you out there that has the problem because not everyone fill out the warranty cards and not all transducers came from the same lot- so I told him I would post the info on all the boards I read to let you guys out there that experecing this problem to contact them about your transducer if you are having a problem with your unit; hopes this helps; Contact; Lowrance Electronics Inc. Ken Penrod(Manufacture's Sales Representative) Tele# 301-931-2040 the Fax # is the samme or E-mail him at Penrod@erols.com Tight Lines and Pray for a early Sping; D.J.D.

What made you think you had a problem--what are the symptoms? You would think they could make a good transducer by now.
Something is fishy around here.

I agree ... something is "fishy". Lowrance issued TWO software fix updates for that unit's GPS functions. THAT is where the problem was, NOT in the locator transducer NOR the GPS puck.

This rep may not have understood your question. I am saying that to be charitable.

That was their first thought, but Like I stated the factory guy told me it's the transducer. If you want to know-the E-mail Adress for the Rep. is there. Feel free to drop him a line. Just trying to pass on the info related to me.
