Can I jumpstart my starting battery with out disconnecting my 24 Volt leads? Connect to just one battery.Keep your drag set!

You sure can. I have my starting battery connected via a Perko battery switch to do that very same task in case I run down my crank battery. I can select the crank battery or 1 trolling motor battery or both to start the main engine.

Yes, I do it as is required.
I have the negative terminal of my starting battery connected via a jumper wire to one of the trolling batteries negative terminal. I leave this wire connected all the time.

I have a 2nd jumper that will reach from the + terminal of the same trolling motor battery to the + terminal of the starting battery.

Unlesss I actually need a jump, I keep both ends of the + jumper wire connected to the + terminal of the trolling motor battery. This keeps a free lead from shorting something out and causing a problem.

If I need a jump, I disconnect and reconnect the wing nut from the trolling motor to free up the end of the jumper wire, and disconnect and reconnect the wing nut from the starting battery to effect the jump.

In the garage - prior to charging the batteries, I move the wire back to the trolling motor battery.

I like to keep the batteries, for equal draw on both trolling motor batteries during trolling and so that I get equal charges on all batteries during charge time.

Take care
