Ok this may sound like a stipid question but after spending alot of time lastnight trying to strip 4-6 inches of lead out of some leadcore I figured therer has to be an easier way? How in the world do you strip that much lead out of leadcore line??

It's loose inside the braid isn't it? You should be able to break the lead by bending it and then just pull it out?
Depending on what brand of leadcore you use, but the braid on the stuff I use is loose enough on the lead that I can just kind of push it up on the lead, and cut the lead off with a sidecutter.
