I currently have a Guest 2631 which I am using to try to charge two G27 TM batteries, as well as my starting batteries (two G24 in parallel). My problem is, I can leave the charger on for four hours, four days, or four weeks, and I will never get solely green lights across the charger, only red and green. The batteries (4) are all new this spring, as is the charger. There is no load on the batteries when charging. Ideas?
Also, when I was in the boat while the charger was "operating", I could literally hear the batteries. I really hope I was listening to the sound of batteries charging, not batteries boiling. My gut tells me they were boiling, as a 10 Amp charger outta be able to charge a G27 battery run down to probably 95% (only used 5%) over night. The batteries were really not hot to the touch, though. How can I check to see if I have boiled my batteries?
Thanks
