Well, just got back from a 2 week fishing trip at Witchbay Camp. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience at Witchbay. The fishing was awesome. 265 Walleyes up to 7lbs. (One other guest brought in 2-8lbers caught in shallow water on cranks.) The accomidations where excellent and the food was better then I have had at any other American Plan resort I have been too.

They run a fishing program up there where both of their resident Pro's allow you to follow them out, or even fish out of their boat, every morning if you want to. Phil Rolphe and Marv Kiley are both excellent fisherman and show a genuine concern over whether you are catching fish. Not just fisherman but educators as well and there is no cost.

The most impressive part of our vacation, however, was the hospitality from the two owners, Gail and Steve Hockett. They where very personable and attentive to making our stay enjoyable. There where several occasions where they just invited us to sit with them and just talk. They both seemed to be genuinely interested in getting to know us.

Fishing was awesome. Accomidations great. Resident Pro's on staff. Great Walleye Fishing. Tremendous owners and staff. Best trip I have had in 30 years of fishing. We will be back :-)!!!!!

Ya gotta love it. Hope my boat is still there.

Al,

Saw your boat still covered and safe. Gail said you and I should get up together sometime and that we would get along real well. Send me an Email anytime.
