I observed a boat drifting with no apparent occupants in the middle of a large bay as I was flying past. I decided to investagate but as I drew near two heads popped up.one male and one female, and much scrambling was taking place I elected to leave well enough alone but I did have an urge to carry on a long conversation on how the fishing was. I cant say that I Have,nt done the same with the wife a time or two,but it got me wondering. How often does this take place on walleye waters?

I do a lot of night fishing on the lake that I live on. It's a popular recreation lake. Needless to say there are quite a few late night "boat rides" going on. The electric motor is quite you see and more times than not I have crept up on boats that I didn't see or expect to be there on those dark nights.

The only thing is that I find dangerous is if I had my lights on and was moving at 10 miles an hour. Things might be different!

So that's what they mean when they say to keep pumping your rods to put more action on the crank?

If ever a post was born to be deleted, it's this
one.... True, it's not bad yet but give it time... :-)

Don't rock the boat baby!

Isn't it every fisherman's fantasy? Excuse me, every angler's fantasy? I know I wouldn't say no..;-)

Rock On!!

I grew up on the ohio river in wheeling wv. Their was a guy who ancored his boat 34' cabin cruser just off the channel and while he was engaged in whatever a coal barge smashed into them. He proceeded to jump or fall into the water while trying to free the boat. They found his body 2 days later two miles from the spot. Anyway the boat freed itself and drifted to shore with his companion still on board. The only problem it was not the mans wife. He left a wife and 3 kids and lots of bad press in a small town. Some may say he got what he deserved others say he should have gotten a room?

This is a very serious fishing site filled with a
lot of Pro's and aspiring Pro's (and then there's
us amateur's who spend a lot of time daydreaming).
This group of devoted anglers are very focused
when they're on the water. They are after one
thing and one thing only... the allusive walleye.
There is no time for horseplay...

I GET YOUR POINT BUT YOU SHOULD LIGHTEN UP A LITTLE!!! ID ALMOST BORDER LINE SAY "GET A LIFE"' AND TRY TO ENJOY YOUR FISHING. IF YOU'RE NOT SURE, IT'S NOT LIFE OR DEATH OUT HERE.

Mike, maybe you have mistaken walleye central for smut central. I'd rather not try to combine the two, especially with the women who enjoy using this site. Show them a little respect!

well said Ness, I'm as serious as heart attack when it comes to walleyes, but.... oh well, never mind, well said.

My God lighten up Ness. If you don't like the post don't respond to it. I'm sure even the hard core Pro's and wanna be's could enjoy some humor.

Anyone think about the number of young anglers
we have hitting this board???? School's out, gang. I'll bet we're getting a lot of hits from
school age kids right now.
Oh, and Mike, if only the stock market was this
easy to call :-)

I've never come across anyone doing such a thing in a boat but I wonder what sort of walleye fisherman has a clean enough boat floor to do IT on. My boat floor is a dangerous place with all sorts of hooks, fish slime, blood, fishing line, Twinky wrappers and pop tops. I wear thick soled shoes. I don't think I could get a woman to go there and do that.

Some guys take this fishing stuff way too seriously! I guess life happens even on the water. By the way, no, I've never personally witnessed love making on the water. It's a good idea to check out those boats that seem to be unoccupied as they could be having troubles, especially if they're not married!

Those kids are all too busy watching the partial nudity on the soap's or watching Jerry Springer. It's everywhere.

That doesn't matter, we don't need to make it worse. They can go find it elsewhere. I agree that the post is probably a little inapropriate for the board, not because of what the original post said, but because of the responses it gets.

I remember the one and only time I convinced a old girlfriend to take a midnight boat ride on a Eastern Minn. lake.

We were in the middle of the lake on a slow drift with the CD player on low, and very friendly, when we felt a slight wave and a bump on the bow of the boat.

I peeked up to see a DNR official with a flashlight who was wondering if we had out life jackets handy? I said YA-we are laying on them! Since we had no apparent pockets to store a license he skipped that part. OK then, "he said" and pushed off and slipped away.

That was the last time that girlfriend went night fishing with me, ever! I mean like what are the odds of it happening again, right? HA!!

Is the fishing that bad you have to talk about this crap.

At least take the Twinky wrappers out of the boat so they don't fly into the water...

I was looking forward to your take on this subject. What do you say???
