I seem to be getting the lemons on the pinpoint system. I sent my 7520 in this spring because it quit reading the speed. Then after getting it back, about three weeks later, the system locked up at 3.1 ft... Next on the list was the transducer, which has now been replaced..and now the connection on the trolling motor where the foot control hooks up has a bad connection. i have spent 75.00 just in postage, and probably need to send in the motor. Never had this much problem with my minnkota!! Dont get me wrong, when it works, its the greatest piece of equipment i own, but it makes for an awful expensive boat decoration when not working.. Anyone else with problems? Doc

Sorry to hear of your problems with the Pinpoint. I can't say enough good about mine. I do know that the people at Pinpoint will take care of you. They have the best service and stand behind their product better than any company I've ever delt with.

Mine has been great except the first 7520 the backlight was burned out. They sent a replacement. Mine has all of a sudden shown 3ft. I've just shut it down and turned it back on, which solved it. Had to do that same thing with hummingbirds 20 times an outing. Other than that I'm sure keeping mine. CJW

My 7520 and 7800 both work like a charm. IMHO, Pinpoint has the best service in the business.

Need to send my trolling motor in for an update, to take full advatage of the system 7 features, but that can wait till winter.

I was at Lake Powell this past week, with temps around 105. Both of my graphs acted up occasionally. The 7500 gave a 'not wet' error, then finally started working. My 7520 would stop reading depth, or show depths of 16' or less when I knew depth was much deeper. It seemed to be heat releated. Draping a white towell over the graph seemed to help.

For the 2nd year in a row my 7820 sonar unit got water logged and half the screen died while in Canada.

This year they are sending me a new one, instead of fixing the old one.
