A group of us from Ohio have planned a father-brother-sons fishing trip up to North Central Minn for the week of June 7th-14th. We love to walleye fish, but end up multi-species fishing most of the week.
We C&R the larger fish, but have a few fish fries and cold ones with the eaters. My son was asking me if the bass and pike will be in season when we're up north......can any of you Minn guys help me out with the season opener dates for Walleye - Pike - Bass ?
Thanks !

I am not positive on the dates but bass opens on memorial weekend and walleye and northerns open around mothers day.
So all species will be open when you are here.
Good Luck!!

Do a search on "Minnesota DNR" or "Minnesota Natural Resources".
When you get to the site, look on the right hand side and you will see "Regulations, licenses, and permits". You should be able to find the new book for 2003-2004 on line. It will vary depending if you are on border or inland waters and some rules follow lines of demarcation.
Hope this helps.

Here is the web site for the Minnesota DNR: http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/index.html
Near the top center of the page is the "Regulations, license, &permits button. This is one way to go to the fishing section. There you can access an on-line 2003 Fishing regulation book that has all the seasons, limits, special regs, etc. There is a link to the ELS(electronic licensing) site that you can use to buy licenses from your location any time after Feb 18. On the first page the "Lake finder" button will allow you to view a map, survey data, etc on whatever Minnesota lake you choose. Sometimes kind of interesting..... Anyway, hope this helps.

If you fish Lake of the Woods, Smallmouth and Northern do not close. So if you fish the walleye opener you can do all three without the extra wait.
