I posted this topic a couple weeks ago and took into account all the thoughts that were posted. I almost went with the 4-10 fireline but instead opted to try the "Tournament" series by Berkely. I went with the phantom green color. I was on Mille Lacs over the 4th and was able to use this and i really liked it. The phantom green virtually disappeared in the water. As far as sensitivity. In two days of lindy rigging...i failed to connect on only 1 fish so i would give it a good rating there. I fished side by side with someone using fireline and the same exact lindy setup and outfished him 2-1 so no complaints there. I didnt have any problems with it coiling up at all. I would say for the guys out there that prefer mono over the superlines that this line is well worth a try for rigging and jigging.

You did not mention what pound test you chose to use in the Tournament strength. What did you end up buying?

I also use the Tournament line from Berkley. Only problem I have noticed is that it frays very easy, and it cannot stay in direct sunlight for very long or it becomes brittle. It is great when it is fresh. I replace it every week or two.

I went with 6 lb test...and like i said it outproduced the 4 lb diameter fireline 2-1.
Couple of questions.1st when you are rigging with the superlines are you using a set length lindy rig or are you using the Roach rig setup ( adjustable with the bobber stop)? I too fish Mille Lacs alot and often the lindy leader is well over ten feet and using adjustable rig is the only way to get the fish close enough to net.My second question is how long in the sun is too long ? Is a full day ( 8 - 12 hrs)in killer sun too much for it? or are you talking in terms of several days ,weeks etc ?Been thinking about giving it a try and just lookin for a little info.
THanks.

I fished 2 days in a row with high sun and my line never got brittle. I guess we'll see how it goes after a couple more outings.
