Still need to rig a locator for the front of my boat, looking for any suggestions on what to use. Very flexible on brand and looking to spend around $300.00. Give or take a couple bucks. When rigging it always seems to be give!!! Thanks.

I wouldn't hesitate putting a Vexilar flasher or a Garmin 240 lcd, depending on your preference. The more I think about it - God knows we have time right now - the more I think the X-51 on the bow is going for sale this year.
Good Luck

For the $ and your price range, it's hard to beat the discontinued X-91 for $300

You could also save $110 and go with the X-51

I was in Cabelas 2 weeks ago in Mitchell SD and they had Garmin 240's the Red ones on sale for $199.00. I picked-up one for the bow of my boat.

The Garmin 240 is hard to beat .. plus their service, if you should ever need it is tops.
Added Garmin 240 to bow with trolling motor transducer mount, love it. Already had Lowrance X85 on back and find the Garmin every bit as good and no interference. Got some good input on this last year before buying from others on this website, you might put "Garmin and 240" into a search of boats and motors and I'll bet you'll come up with good info on Garmin, and, of course, others as well.
