Double duty Fireline

I have been getting double duty out of my 14/6 Fireline by reeling one linecounter up off of the other. It works out well. You never seem to use the line wound down deep into the reel, and the Fireline has no memory to speak of, so it works out great! This way you get the line that has never been used, and the old stuff acts as backing. I have about 6 baitcasters that I rotate through this way. Try it. Just don't tell Berkley you heard it from me!

I have been doing the same thing but have been pulling all the line off. Your idea of exchanging the line with another reel is a good one.
