I was wondering what the proper way to powder paint mass quantities of jigs at ounce? Thanks for the help.

I saw this at sportsman show and have used even on my blade baits. With a little practice it works well. Get cheap heat gun (I bungee cord it to leg of tv dinner tray) hold jig in front for about five seconds, dip in powder, hold in front of heat gun for 3 to five more seconds throw in bucket of water. Easy to do while watching tv so do not have exact times but with little practice you will hardly notice how many you are making.

It is very easy once you do it a few times.
A couple of suggestions.
1. If you are doing a lot of jigs he same color, shake up the powder every once in a while. This will keep it from getting packed down and make it easier to dip the jig down into it.
2. You can do two tones by just dipping one color after the other.
3. Keep track of how long it is front of the gun or torch and how long it is the powder that gives the best results. This makes things go much faster.
4. Don't worry about baking the paint. It holds up fine without it.

Good luck,
Scott

You could also use an oven which is the fastest and the most consistent. Heat the jigs to about 350 then take each one and dip in the paint then put back on the rack then cook for a few more minutes. This will give a rock hard finish.
