Input please - I'm looking for a boat and am wondering about one thing in particular - where do you put the rods you're not fishing with? In & out of the lockers?! My experience says that's a pain w/ lines & hooks getting tangled. I like to keep a bunch of rods rigged & ready close at hand. Compare, for example, the 17 Mr Pike. You have a cockpit with a shelf all the way around. I'd typically have a bunch of rods laying on these shelves. No such shelf exists on Pro V's. I'm wondering what options you guys have come up with. Thanks in advance for all replies.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-18-00 AT 11:47PM (CST)[p]For my 1900 Pro V IFS I am going to build a rod locker on the floor along the passenger side (the entire length of the left side on the floor about 6" high and a foot or so wide). Going to make it out of aluminum and put on a locking door and get carpet from Lund so it looks stock. I am kind of copying the rod locker that comes on a 1900 SE or a 2025 SE. Hope this helps, Chris.

When I ordered my '97 16ft. tiller model, I had the dealer build me a rod locker that ran under the electronics compartment along the port side from the front casting platform to the rear livewell. It really increased the versitility of my Pro-V.

Hi, when I was running my 1775 Pro-V I used them rod straps...the velcro ones on the tops of the gunnels for extra rods....It really worked good too. Always kept them out of the way and handy....Stuffing rods in lockers all the time is a pain. I also had one strap on the front deck port side.
Good luck and I hope this helps.

I have had a 1660 Pro-V SE for the past 5 years and one of the first things I added was a four slot rod holder near the back of the boat. I got it from cabelas and it is called a Fentress Rod Holder and is on page 113 of this years Master Spring Cabelas catalogue. I have had no problem setting 4 rods in this holder and running down the lake. A word of caution-----do not store a landing net in there when running wide open or you will be ordering a new net! I think this accessory would be good on any pro-V and is reasonably priced.
