I just bought a new pro-v 1900 lund and wanting a kicker motor. Which is better an electric or gas. And what house power or pounds of trust should I get.
Thanks

A 19' boat is heavy, so go with lots of thrust. That means gasoline, and the most thrust is found with the biggest prop. Yamaha 4-stroke, high thrust, 10hp. As much low-speed thrust as most 25hp engines.

What year is your new Pro-V (2000 or 2001)? Were you able to see any features that were different from one year to the next?
Good Luck with you new Pro-V

I would reccomend a Merc. 9.9 Bigfoot...Has 25 hp. lower unit with larger than normal prop..Will handle heavy boats easily... Coralville Resivoir sucks Bernie!!!
