40 h.p. johnson

I have a 40 h.p. johnson with power tilt and trim my problem is that the motor trims up whenrver it wants. Went through the wiring found one shorted wire thought my problem was solved, not, changed the relays in the motor that too did not help. The problem does not happen all the time the dealer told me the switches are wet, I dont think he knows either. thanx for your help

I had that happen with my Merc. Had aleak on the back plate and a switch was getting wet--going along and motor would start coming up. Fixed leak solved problem.
