I was wanting some input from those who have used the vexilar edge. I have been doing some research and I can't find any drawbacks. Has anyone used this side by side to the Lowrance X85 or X87 and or Garmin 240.

i have the vexilar edge and the FL18, last year was the best we had done in the tournments.when it shows fish there under your boat not a hundred feet behind you, it's two bad it can't tell what kind they are. it is the best i had.

I love my Edge. The two big things I like are that you can program 3 different modes that can completely change how your unit works by just the press of a button. And the fact that you can adjust the level of your automatic gain. On the lake I fish most units on auto mode show nothing but garbage. And if you put it in manual, as you change depths your constantly adjusting things. With the Edge I don't have to do that. And, when it shows a fish, you can believe it. I don't think anything comes close to it for the price.

I second Gonefishin.And yes it will work with any of the units you listed w/out interference.
