Slide Divers vs. Dipsey Divers

I was running the same size Slide Divers with the same amount of line out as my brothers Dipsey Divers. Even though I was using 50lb Whiplash and he was using 20lb Trilene and the settings were the same his Dipsey's took a much steeper dive and seemed to fish deeper and closer to the boat than my Slide Divers. I verified that I set the Slide Divers up according to instructions. Any suggestions? Are you experiencing the same thing?

If this is true, it's good to know. I use both. I run the dipsys on the inside and the slides on the outside. With what you've told me I should be running the slides farther back to get the same depth. As long as we know what they're doing we should be able to adjust.

Assuming that your boat speeds were the same -the first thing that comes to mind is the Slide diver has a smaller diameter than the standard Lure Jensen Big Diver(O)that would make a big difference in depth. What is the equivalent line sz. for mono for your 50# Whiplash. That could be another big difference.
