I have a new HR unit & have problems showing bottom in my home lake.
I see bottom at all speeds in a harder bottom, but there is one section that the depth readout does not show bottom.
Its a real deep soft muck........any ideas how to get the depth display to keep showing.
I've bumped the gain all aorund with no avial?
suggestions?

Sorry, but I don't have a clue. My Bottomline always sees bottom no matter the composition. Have you called the factory folks? They have ALWAYS been extremely helpful to me. They may even want you to send it back. They don't repair them, they send a brand new one.
Good Luck!

I've got a Tournament Champ HR and I've never had that kind of a problem... I'd first try making sure your transducer is good and clean (use detergent to ensure no oily film), then call Computrol if you're still having trouble.
Good luck...

Called service & they recommended going to
pro-mode which disables the digital readout of depth.
I will then read the scale to see my depth????
I use the digital readout at speed to keep from running a ground.
Transducer looks & is wiped clean.
I have the digital readout everywhere but this mucky place.

any other opinions.
(My old magna never did this, & I was thinking
that the bottomline has to much power, so I should drop the gain.......no help)
