Has team Diawa walked away from the Walleye market? I have some of their reels and consider them to be top shelf. They used to sponsor Kieth Kavajeez and long ago developed some great application specific rods for walleye fishing. I still come across some of their rods which - in the $60 & up category generally have outstanding sensitivity. Low end stuff can be dubious though.
Does anyone know if they have any program going on? It's getting hard to find any of their rods in stores these days. Thanks in advance for any help.
p.s. I know they are huge in Bass circles. Just curious about the walleye involvement.

Hi Steve,
Team Daiwa is still active in the walleye scene. They do have programs for pro's and guides. Their reels are, in my opinion second to none and they do make a nice selection of rods that although do not specificlly specify walleye are very applicable to all types of walleye fishing. If you would like to know who to contact please e-mail me and I will give you a name and address for the IL rep. Catch A Big One! - Tom

Team Daiwa is very strong. Check out any of the sports shows going on in and around Chicago this spring and you will see many pros with the TeamDaiwa shirts running around.
They were every where at the Northwest Sports Show in MPLS.
Try going to the Daiwa Web site. WWW.daiwa.com

I too am having a hard time finding Daiwa gear. I am particularly interested in the S-series rods that in the past have been favorites for trolling. I'm in the peoria, IL area. Any info would be appreciated.

Check out Daiwa's web site. Our check Cabela's, they have the Tournament SS reels at $90.00. If there is a better 90 buck spinning reel out there, I'll eat it. I've had a couple for 12 years and I have never had a problem with either one of them. Catch A Big One! - Tom
