Who makes slowfall jigs? Does Cabelas or some other mail order place sell them? What about Gander Mountain or Fleet?
I have been reading some reports that they are catching fish on the Turtle-Flambeau flowage.
Thanks,
Fritz

NorthLand's Whistler Jig's in the lighter weights fall slow, and very slow with a large minnow tipping them. I have even used floating jigs with a small split shot to produce a slow drop or hover, works well with a leach.

I have always used Roadrunner jigs for a very slow fall in shallow riprap. Between the feathers and the spinner they are tough to beat for hanging in the strike zone in water 3 feet and less.

check the Odd-ball jigs. They are available in a wide variety of sizes and do fall slower than comparable weight jigs. If you're not familiar with the, they are the ones with large jig heads, mostly hollow, over the shank of the hook. Neat design. Daryl Christensen's name is on the packaging for some I got at a walleye show last winter.

Those are all good suggestions. You can also use heavier line. The added diameter will make your jig fall slower. Use 10lb test instead of 6lb. If you are worried about the extra diameter spooking fish, use a four foot section of florocarbin.

Hey Fritz, the company that makes the Slow Fall Jig is ISG Fishing. Check out their website at www.isgfishing.com. These jigs are pretty nice. Tight Lines,

Another way to produce a slow fall is to use a larger body on a small jig head. 1/16 or 1/8 oz. jig head with a twister tail you would normally use on something 1/4 to 3/8 oz. in conjunction with the heavyer line this would produce a slow drop.

Fritz, they are almost shaped like a tube jig and have a plastic weed guard on them and a wire hook. work great when jigging wood.
