if you have to order from these guys, do it 2 months in advance. it took that long to get myself a map of the woman lake chain. i'd had already been there by the time i got it. well the lake didn't look that good anyways so i went to big winne anyways. stick to what you know is the moral of this story. good fishing everybody..

I just ordered a dual frequency transducer from Reed's and found them very helpful. I got the unit in the mail within 5 days of placing the order. I'm delighted with their service and plan to order from them again. Maybe you just happen to order something that was out of stock and placed on back-order.

I bought an x75 from them last year and my shipment was super fast. Sorry to hear about your experience.

I bought an X75 from them last spring, and for $350, they threw in speed, temp, and the 50Khz transducer and sam unit for free. I got the whole shipment inside of a week, and I bought it at a boat show. I was real impressed with the other times I've bought from them also, getting free spools and line with reels and such. One time I hemmed and hawed about a reel for at least a half hour, they offered to give me 3 spare alum. spools and 2 spools of trilene also for the same price, deal made instantly. Oh, it was only a $50 reel.

I'm real happy with them, and I prefer to buy from them before Cabela's anyday.

I've got to agree with the repys. I ordered a bow mount from them because they had the lowest price on the model I wanted, and they cut the shiping cost to 5 dollars, just for asking. I would recomend reeds to anyone. ##### they even advertise here.

I just have to reply to this one - Reed's is without a doubt the most helpful, courteous, responsive location on the planet. In fact I make three trips a year to Walker just to shop there, and it doesn't hurt that the fishing is pretty good.

An example - last week I smapped the bracket for my new GPS. I called Jeff Arnold and he overnighted me a bracket after pulling one out of a brand new box from his inventory.

By the way I know you are disappointed and I'm not trying to put salt in your wound, but the maps you wanted are all published and available for download free of charge from the DNR.

I'll chime in, too.

I have ordered MANY items from Reeds, as well as stopping in every trip through Walker. I have found them to be nothing but helpful, often going above and beyond the call of duty. As for shipping times, I receive most of my items (regardless of size) in two to three days.

Sorry to hear about your problem - must have been backordered.

I live in Ohio I found out about Reeds through this site ! I have bought many many mail order items from them.
From...X-85's...thru....Muzzleloaders,
they are top notch.......BUT I have run into a few orders that I did wait up to nine weeks to get. I am now and still will buy from them, wish there was a store like theirs in Ohio.

GOOD LUCK !!!

i have to agree with all favorable replies. these people at reeds are great!
only one time would i say i was disapointed with them when my wife called and tried to order some ice fishing equipment from them for me as a christmas present. one fellow who i rather not name was very snotty and pissy with her. but i have heard this before about him. i just figured he was having a very rotton day, and we all have them!
but aside from this one incident i would highly recommend reeds. like with any business from time to time there will be problems, but reeds work very hard at customer satisfaction. as far as i concerned, reeds, cabala's, and thorne bros. are the only places to buy! give them a try, great quaulity, service, advice, and overall great people!

I ordered a GM2000 a while back and they sent the wrong transduscer and shorted me another piece. I called an hour after they closed (didn't realize it when I called) and the owner answered. He promised overnight shipping to Sand Bay Resort in St BAy Wi. (that was my next day destination).
Sure, people can make mistakes, but they went out of their way to make it right.

Thats the sign of good management. Give the employees the authority to make things right. Turn a negative into a positive.

I feel I should chirp in too. I just made my first purchase from them about 10 days ago. I had never dealt with them before, but I got a recomendation for them from this site's frequenters.

I got a great deal on the unit (Global Map 2000) with all the accessories. Got a couple of goodies added in too. Plus, I got 2 cmaps from them for much less than the other sources I checked. I got all of this in less than a week, and the cmaps came from cmap. How often does everything go right when you enlist a third party? Needless to say I was very pleased.

They will get first shot at my future buys also.
