Shad Raps

Has anyone tried those new white shad raps made by rapala yet, 8$ in Mn. Wondering what kind of paint to use when painting over a rap. Could you use regular paint or jig paint? Info would be helpful.

You can use any paint, what I like do do is rough up the old surface first with some fine sandpaper, this will make the paint stick to the lure better. I have even used permanent magic markers!

Gullguide is right any paint will work. I have to try that jet black. tip: when fishing at night trolling; I stoped at JB lures a few years ago in Winthrop MN. I bought a roll of glow wiggle strips the put on some of their stuff. It has a sticky back on one side i stuck some on the sides of #9 floating rapalas then used my wifes clear finger nail polish over the strips to hold them on even better. Out fished 2 friends 4 to 1 with a 31in, kissed and released they were in my tackle box right now. glow in the dark raps and sticks do work at night.
