The monkey puke I just bought is now 9/10 silver and 1/10 monkey puke. Same for many of the other Hot colors I just purchased. I know they will still work but you would think that the company would come up with a painting process that would stay on the spoon. They are the hottest lure going on Lake Erie.

I have heard that clear fingernail polish will work. Any other suggestions?? This happened within a day or two of fishing. Guess I have to carry something on the boat to paint them before I ever use them. Feel like contacting Michigan Stinger and getting replacements. I already have enough plain spoons. If there are any Michigan Stinger reps out there I would like to hear their comments.

I've had the same problem. The dang things catch fish like crazy but they do lose their paint fast..certain colors especially. I've been told "they're working on it". Doesnt seem to be a problem with other brands.....maybe they need to boost their "R & D" budget!

I bought about 15 (10 different colors) when I was at Erie a couple weeks ago. I now have 15 that are two colors, copper and silver. THere is almost no paint left on these spoons after 3 days on the water. I was considering repainting them with an airbrush. It is frustrating when you pay a premuim price for a product that doesn't last as well as its cheaper competitor.

They are working on it, but let's not forget that even though the finish may be flawed, the fish don't seem to mind. If I had my choice between ones that stayed pretty and ones that catch fish, guess which one I'd want.
