Has anyone seen this or tried it out? even though it's early. The old verions you had to use snap swivels or various line guides, after casting them for a while i'd get line tangling. This one is more like the regular slip bobbers. 20 times brighter and lasts twice as long.

I've tried both sizes. I wish I would have had them long ago. I did do some modification though. I bought some in both sizes (for crappies as well) and carefully removed the spring on the bottom of the bobbers. Thill sells a weight kit that consists of small lead weights and rubber retainer washers (for their slip floats) that slip on the bottom bobber tube to balance it. It works really well.

Is it bright? you can put 2 battery/lights inside I think it will be sweet on the walleye lake that uses lighted bobbers more than any lake in the U.S. MILLE LACS

It's bright. I haven't found the need for two of the lights. However, you could add anouther easy enough. With the extra weight you could probably zing it a mile.

I did the same with the new Thill bobber. The line goes down the middle. I also removed the "Line wrecker" spring, and shortened up the tube to right below the bobber.
We casted into 30 mph winds today to see if they worked without snagging or wrapping up. Worked like a charm! Anyone fishing Red Wing today knows what kind of wind I am talking about! Cant wait for the opener on MilleLacs to give it the real trial!
Good Luck!
