Plastics are probably the most popular jig dressing, but I was wondering what other types of jig dressings people find effective (hair(what kind?), bucktail, marabou, and whatever weird thing), and perhaps under what condition they work best.Thanks.

I use bucktail quite a bit and although the standard has always been hair in cold water and plastic in warm, I often ignore that. The bucktail works great for me all summer long, may not be better than plastic but probably also isn't any worse. I believe that most of the time other factors are far more important than what jig trailer you are using. Finding the fish and delivering the right presentation are what catches fish IMHO.

Good response.Lets tack on what trailer is best for which presentation to the original question.
