Has anyone ever tried to fish backwaters for summer walleye when there are literally millions of shad in the backwaters this time of year? I'm talking mississippi River backwaters. I've tried a couple time without any luck but would I be crazy to think that with that many yearling shad around that game fish would have to be close by? Anyone care to comment about this?
