I had a problem with the Pinpoint 3700 the other day and have been unable to contact Pinpoint directly as of yet so would like to post to those of you in the know and maybe someone out there has experienced the problem and has an answer for me before I can get hold of Pinpoint.
I was under way with the electric motor and am demanding about half power when the unit shuts down/powers down/turns off. Of course when that happens I lose power to the graph (7520) also. First trip out with the boat/ batteries were charged to capacity two weeks before I went out. Contacts on motor plug 'look' good. Anchored and made sure contacts to the batteries were good.
Five minutes or so pass and I hear a click coming from the motor head like it is resetting or something. Attempt to power up the graph. Graph goes on. Ditto to the motor, motor powers up again only for it to happen again and again after getting the system to power up after a while.
Anyone else experience this problem? Purchased unit in Feb '98. Would appreciate your thoughts especially if someone else out there has gone through this too.
