Portage Lake Michigan and surrounding area

I am an experienced fishermen who has been out with alot of people and learned alot of things. My favorite fishing has to be in Michigan on portage lake and the few surrounding area lakes. I was wondering if anyone has been in the area or has any better spots in the michigan area. The lakes are full of beautiful Northern, perch and bluegill. There not the biggest but their fun. This lake brings back the kid in me it is very fun and I want people to hear about it.
