Ok - I'm ready to start spending the bucks - plan is to replace the depth finder on the console - then add - the motor next year and finder on it - eventually.
What's their website - recomendations - etc.
Want to be able to read rear on front - etc. Best view on rear one and the 5 transducer motor -

Have 7520 and love it. It would be great for your console unit. They have the gps ready its being held up getting the ok's from the government. Thats the other thing I like if anything is improved you just send your unit back and for whatever the cost its updated to new. I use my 7520 for the 3700 series motor and the transom at the same time. Have it on a ram mount so alls I have to do is pivot it around . Hope this helps. Craig P.S. Get ahold of grandpa joe on this forumn he knows alot more about them than I do. Plus he can hook you up to a better deal than bass pro or cabelas. E-mail me if you need his address.
I have the 7520 sonar and the 3700 motor. Absolutely love the combination, because it gives me the rear transducer when running across the lake, the 5 more transducers forward when fishing.
Some guys think the extra transducers are overkill, and use the 2700-series (single transducer) motor. I've seen them both in action, and the 3700 is much superior.

I'm running a 3700, a 7520 on the transom and a 7800 up front. Great setup IMHO.
Can't wait to add the GPS to my 7520 :)

CJW,
I have not heard that news about the GPS. Just out of curiosity, who said it?
Paul,
I agree with the others. The 7520 is the unit to buy. I think you'll like this unit over the 7820 if you plan on splitting screens.
As far as the motor goes, Hans is correct. I would steer you towards the 2000 series if you fish the same way I do. I had three of the 3000 series, and two of the 2000 series, and I prefer the 2000 for my style of fishing.
If you'd like more info. Feel free to email me.

Joe had a problem with the light on my first 7520 they sent another. I asked the service rep what the hold up was on the gps. He said they had everything ready but were waiting for authorization from the gov. He didn't know when they would get that done. What they needed from uncle sam I didn't ask. Craig

Anybody from Pinpoint watching this board? Let us know when we can upgrade our 7520's with the GPS.

For those of you looking for information on the gps, here's the scoop, pinpoint is commited to having downloadable mapping gps available this coming spring it will network with the 7520 and be an external antenna,as far as the goverment issue goes thats absolutely false,no approvale needed, the exact cost has not been determined yet but it will be competitive, and for anyone out there with a 7520 right now it will be upgraded with the new software, once again though price not known. I will keep posting as info comes to me.

Matt.
Does any one know if the motor will respond to the code from their (Pinpoint ) gps....or will it be of the NMEA format.Where any gps with can drive the motor??
