Hi,

I am looking for information and search past posts of the Cabela's LCG2400 Lowrance unit and am wondering how you like it? Any comments regarding this unit. I see Reeds Sporting Goods has the X85 with Speed/Temp for 449.00 and am wondering if it is worth the extra $100.00 to get the X85 over the LCG 2400.

Thanks

How deep are the lakes you will be fishing? this is the biggest difference between the twoi because the 85 is set twords lakes 50+ feet while the 2400 is more 20' range. I baught the 2400 earlier this year and it seems to work fine, but have not had it out onto a lake yet.

The lake here can run up to 160' deep. I normally wont fish that deep unless I am using my downriggers for salmon. Reed's Sports has the X85 in there with spd/tmp for 449.00. I might go that way maybe. Not sure if it is worth the extra 100.00 for it though.

Id sugest going with the x85 becuase you will use those extra watts in water that deep, and i dont think you can beat it at that price. Whatever you chose have fun and (from american shooter) "Kepp 'em in the ten range" MarbleEye's
