Read a post during the last few months about some type invisible or low-vis leader such as we use for northern. The area on Lac Suel that I fish has been producing some nice smallmouth the last couple years. Talking with a friend of mine at the lodge, he indicated a crawdad color crank works really good early in the morning. That said: where can I get some of this low vis leader to combat the northern while throwing crank baits for smalley's. Don't particularly want to throw a five dollars bait to get it cut off. Thanks for any input and keep the bobber bobbing and bait on the hook.

South Bend makes what they call the "Invisi-leader". This is a fine wire leader that may fit the bill. They are available in diff lengths and tests. They are usually good for one to three fish, as they link and twist pretty good.

The titanium wire leaders are much smaller than their steel counterparts of equal strength.
