Could anyone tell me the formulas for figureing the weight of walleyes and northerns,using the lenght and girth method. Please help. KORN

A rough method for pike is:
length cubed\3500

example 44*44*44/3500 = 24.3lbs

No matter what formula you use you will still have only an estimate! But I agree with Northman. Pike weight=length cubed divided by 3500. Walleye weight=length cubed divided by 2700. I like to use this method because you only need to measure length. Thus, allowing minimal time to have fish out of the water. This is very important in warm water conditions. Get them big girls back in as soon as possible!

Eagle Eyes has sited the correct formula. However, I ususally like to add on 1/2 to 1 1/2 pounds per fish after computing. Then I'll add on
about 1/4 pound every year thereon after. This helps out story telling a lot. Good luck ;-)
