Looking for some tips on getting some sponsorship not necessarily within the fishing industry. I'm looking for some info on what you guys (both pro & am ) put in you proposal packages. I know that tournament results are a very small part of it. Any tips or suggestions are appreciated.

Sponsors rely on you to provide exposure for their product. You plan should show them a proven or intended method for that exposure. Also, they are more interested in you than anything else. Personality and the gift of gab are what sells best. Listen to what they want. If what they have and what you are about mix, then you should do well. I think the real key is good communication skills and an outgoing personality.

This is just one opinion.

Best of luck to you.

Aquaman is right regarding sponsorships, personality is very important, so is attitude. what we have found is that you must do what you promise to do. Plus more. Being a sponsor is a difficult position to be in because their are many people who aren't who they say they are. Would-be sponsors get "gun shy" with people who line themselves up with one hand out and the other with a huge list of promises. We fill the one hand and are left with dust in the other. Take this for what it's worth, it's important in todays world to get things done, how and when you say you will. This is all just simple manners that everyone can do. Hope this helps.
